Vedran Jovic is a Senior Research and Development Scientist at GNS Science, with experience dating back to February 2019. Previously, Vedran served as a Post-Doctoral Research and Development Scientist at Berkeley Lab from May 2014 to February 2019, specializing in using high energy radiation in ultra-high vacuum systems to investigate the physical properties of materials for electronic applications, particularly focusing on semiconductors and semi-metals. Vedran also employed pulsed laser deposition techniques to fabricate materials. Vedran completed a PhD in Chemistry with a focus on Materials Science at The University of Auckland, where studies were undertaken from March 2010 to April 2014, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the same institution from 2006 to 2010.
