Benjamin Humphreys, M.D., Ph.D. is the Joseph Friedman Professor of Renal Disease in Medicine and Chief of the Division of Nephrology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
The mission of the Humphreys Lab is to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms of kidney regeneration and thereby identify new therapeutic strategies for humans suffering from kidney disease. A primary focus is on stem cell-based therapeutic approaches. He use mouse as a model system as well as human pluripotent stem cells.
