Francois Godement is a distinguished expert in international relations and Asian studies, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Institut Montaigne since January 2019 and as a Non Resident Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace since 2012. Previously, Godement held various significant roles at the European Council on Foreign Relations from 2007 to 2018, including Senior Policy Fellow and Director of the Asia Program. Other notable positions include serving as a Professor of Political Science at Sciences Po from 2006 to 2014 and founding the Asia Centre, where Godement was Director and President until 2013. Godement's academic background includes postgraduate studies in East Asian Studies at Harvard University and degrees in History and Chinese language and civilization from prestigious French institutions.
