Scott Smart is a knowledgeable film programmer currently involved with the Thrive Shorts program at Inside Out since September 2020. In parallel, Scott has served as a project officer and previously as a junior project officer for the Secretariat to the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board since June 2019. Scott's extensive background in film includes roles such as a graduate teaching assistant at Carleton University, where responsibilities included leading lectures and marking student work, as well as previous experience as a sponsorship coordinator and intern at Inside Out. Additional experience encompasses administrative support at the Toronto International Film Festival and various roles in corporate law and event coordination. Scott holds a Master of Arts in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from Carleton University and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Arts Management from Centennial College.
