Steven Timothy Bazin

Director of Community Housing at In-Pact

Steven Timothy Bazin has over 30 years of experience in the field of community housing and support services for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Steven Timothy began their career at Southlake Center for Mental Health, where they worked as a Residential Counselor, Head Residential Counselor, and Recreational Therapist. During this time, they were part of a team that developed a new treatment program for adolescent males and gained knowledge in William Glasser's Reality Therapy.

In 1995, Bazin joined Cedars Academy as a Senior Behavioral Health Technician, where they took over a chaotic program and implemented active treatment strategies. Steven Timothy then moved to the Cornerstone Program at Christian Haven as the Assistant Director, responsible for program development and staff training in a locked adolescent treatment program.

In 1998, Bazin joined In-Pact, Incorporated as the Director of Supported Services. Over the course of 23 years, they provided leadership to over 200 employees and created safe and affordable living situations for individuals with disabilities in Northwest Indiana. Steven Timothy focused on breaking down barriers and stereotypes, allowing individuals to lead independent lives while receiving necessary support.

Currently, Bazin serves as the Director of Community Housing at In-Pact, Inc., where they lead a management team of 18 and around 100 direct support professionals. Their role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of Supported Living and Group Homes, ensuring the health and safety of each individual.

Throughout their career, Bazin has shown a commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities and creating inclusive communities.

Steven Timothy Bazin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Speech Pathology at Valparaiso University from 1984 to 1988. Steven Timothy further pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Public Affairs degree with a focus on Health Care Management from Indiana University Northwest between the years 1991 and 1997.
