Jacomijn Vels serves as the Global Head of Sustainable Finance at ING, leading a team of approximately 45 professionals to deliver sustainable commercial solutions across EMEA, the Americas, and Asia, aimed at facilitating clients' transitions to sustainability. Vels has held various roles at ING since December 1994, including Managing Director for Global Credit Restructuring, focusing on restructuring initiatives primarily in the Netherlands, and has extensive experience in leveraged finance through structured acquisition finance roles since joining a newly established team in Amsterdam in 2000. Educational credentials include participation in coaching through DeNieuweCommissaris, a program focused on supervision from Ebbinge, and a degree from the University of Groningen.
