Ana Margarida Santiago is a Development Engineer at Inflammatix, Inc. since January 2022, with prior experience as a Researcher and Assistant Professor in Chemistry Laboratory I at Instituto Superior Técnico from July 2020 to December 2021. Previously, Ana Margarida worked as an Industrial PhD Student at BASF from October 2015 to June 2019, focusing on polymeric materials for electro-optic modulators. Early career experiences include an internship at CEA, where a master thesis project on conductive polymers for batteries was completed, and another internship at Instituto Superior Técnico, working on biocompatible hybrid nanoparticles for biodiagnostic applications. Ana Margarida holds a PhD in Chemistry from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, completed in January 2020, and two Master's degrees in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from Université Grenoble Alpes and KU Leuven, alongside a Bachelor's and Master's in Biological Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
