Brett Wells

Brett Wells has a diverse work experience history. Brett started their career in 1989 as a Sr. District Executive/District Executive at the Boy Scouts of America, where they focused on grant writing and multi-phase fundraising. Brett also managed volunteers and a resident camp.

In 1997, they became an Assistant Youth Services Director at the Phoenixville Area YMCA-Audubon Branch, overseeing school-age child care staff and a new teen initiative. Brett then moved on to the Phoenixville Area YMCA - Phoenixville Branch in 1999, where they served as an Assistant Youth Services Director, supervising staff, managing budgets, and fundraising for the program.

In 2002, Brett became the Youth Services Director at the Phoenixville Area YMCA- Spring Valley Branch, responsible for the direction and budget control of multiple care locations and day camps. Brett also wrote and managed grant requests and implemented staff trainings.

From 2004 to 2015, Brett served as the Executive Director at the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League, overseeing the operation of a community facility and managing fundraising, programs, and staff.

Lastly, Brett's most recent position was as the Director of Development at the Indian Creek Foundation, starting in 2015, where they were responsible for planning and implementing fundraising, marketing, and communications initiatives. Brett also oversaw project management of federally funded construction and supervised pastoral care.

Throughout their career, Brett has demonstrated strong leadership skills, budget management abilities, and expertise in fundraising and community engagement.

Brett Wells completed their college preparatory education from Norristown Area High School between 1981 and 1985. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Non-Profit Management from Salem University from 1985 to 1989.
