Prakash Panda

President & Group CHRO at India Power Corporation Ltd

Prakash Panda's work experience includes serving as the President & Group CHRO at India Power since April 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Sr Vice President & CHRO at India Power from September 2018 to March 2022, where they headed HR & IR for Power Distribution, Generation, and Renewable businesses. Prakash also achieved significant recognition for their work, including the CII HR Excellence Award and Great Place to Work certification. Before joining India Power, they worked as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Star Cement Ltd. from December 2014 to September 2018. Prakash also held various HR positions at Reliance Communications Ltd, Essar, Pantaloon Retail India Ltd, Reliance Retail, Bharti Airtel Limited, INDIAN ALUMINIUM COMPANY LIMITED, and JK Synthetics Ltd. throughout their career.

Prakash Panda has a comprehensive education history across various institutions and fields of study. Prakash began their academic career at Junagarh High School, where they obtained their High School Certificate (HSC) degree, specializing in Mathematics, from 1978 to 1983. Following this, they attended Govt. College, Bhawanipatna, from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a focus on CBZ (Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology).

Continuing their pursuit of education, Prakash Panda enrolled at Utkal University from 1987 to 1989. During this period, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program that spanned two years, specializing in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations.

Furthering their management expertise, Prakash Panda attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, for the academic year 2006-2007. Prakash underwent a specialized One Year Special Management Program, gaining knowledge and skills in Business Administration and Management.

With a commitment to academic growth, Prakash Panda is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at IBCS, SOA University. Prakash embarked on this three-year program in 2020, with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration.
