Chidozie Agu, PhD

Manager, Bioassay Development at INanoBio

Chidozie Agu, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to present. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Project Management Analyst at Accenture, where they managed an application tracking system and supported the planning and strategic framework development for the Nigeria Vision 2020 economic policy document. From 2010 to 2013, they were a University Lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where they taught undergraduate biochemistry courses, supervised undergraduate students' research projects, and led cross-sector R&D. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University, where they managed the lifecycle of multiple scientific research projects, mentored research interns, trained fresh graduate students and visiting scholars, developed and validated bioanalytical protocols, and designed and executed innovative fermentation and biomass deconstruction strategies. From 2016 to present, they have been at INanoBio, first as a Senior Research Scientist and currently as Manager of Bioassay Development. In this role, they have shaped the intellectual agenda and led teams in defining research strategies, developed project goals and ensured scope is defined and controlled, written internal technical reports and white papers for external collaborations, and advanced projects from conception to workplan development, resource loading, execution, and reporting. Chidozie has also demonstrated strong regulatory acumen and expertise in building a robust testing plan, proficiency and experience in assay optimization and biological assessment of discovery platforms, and supported products development by managing cross-sector collaborations.

Chidozie Agu obtained a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Chidozie then went on to pursue an M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Industrial Biochemistry from the same university. In 2013, they began their PhD in Metabolic Engineering at The Ohio State University and completed it in 2016.
