Tamas Molnar is an experienced Sudden Onset Emergency Specialist and Regional Assessment Specialist for West and Central Africa at IMPACT Initiatives since April 2021. Tamas oversees the Intersectoral Analysis Regional Group (GRANIT) and is involved in developing Rapid Needs Assessment methodologies while collaborating with partners such as OCHA ROWCA. Key achievements include coordinating a joint Rapid Needs Assessment in Libya post-Storm Daniel in September 2023, resulting in timely dissemination of findings. Previously, Tamas held roles as Senior Assessment Officer and Assessment Officer, focusing on multisectoral needs assessments and humanitarian situation monitoring. Tamas has a strong background in policy analysis from the Budapest Institute for Policy Analysis and academic credentials including a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Master’s in Political Science from Central European University.
