Lisa Larson has extensive work experience in the field of research, evaluation, and psychotherapy. Lisa was the Director of Research and Evaluation at IMPACT, Inc. where they led evaluations for various health and human service projects. This included evaluating residential treatment programs for pregnant and parenting women, efforts to improve child care quality, and a program for Latino elders experiencing depression.
Prior to that, Lisa worked as a Psychotherapist at Lutheran Social Services, where they provided individual, family, and group therapy to children who had been sexually abused. Lisa also collaborated with a therapeutic team, schools, protective service agencies, and the legal system. Lisa'scaseload included adult survivors of sexual abuse and clients with various diagnoses.
Additionally, Lisa had a role as a Clinical Psychology Intern at the Psychiatry Department of the University of WI Hospitals & Clinics.
Lisa Larson holds a Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, which they completed in 1996. Prior to that, they obtained their M.A. in Child Clinical Psychology from the same institution in 1987. In 1984, Lisa Larson earned their B.A. in Psychology from Wesleyan University.
