Tony Esposito, PhD, is a leading expert in lighting research and standards development, currently serving as the Director of Standard Development and Light Concept Lead at the International WELL Building Institute since May 2023. With a robust background as the Founder and Head Research Scientist at Lighting Research Solutions since March 2019, Tony Esposito specializes in illuminating engineering, applied lighting, and comprehensive lighting research. This includes conducting detailed research, technical writing, and educational programs. Additionally, Tony Esposito co-chairs the Color Committee of the Illuminating Engineering Society, overseeing original projects and ensuring equitable operations. Previously, contributions to Philips Lighting focused on human factors in lighting and educational modules, while a doctoral research project at Penn State University investigated human responses to light spectra. Tony Esposito holds both a PhD and a combined Bachelor/Master's degree in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University.
