Caroline Baker possesses extensive experience in the non-governmental sector, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Women and Children First (UK) since September 2019, focusing on women's and children's health. From June 2016 to August 2024, Caroline held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager at Comic Relief, overseeing the FCDO/UKAID match-funded portfolio for Mental Health and Wellbeing in Kenya, managing a team of Portfolio Managers, and engaging in risk management and reporting. Caroline also established a new intermediary funder team, advancing strategies for grant-making to support grassroots organizations in the Global South. Prior experience includes roles as Country Representative and Programmes Director at Concern Worldwide, Programme Quality Manager and Programme Manager at Options Consultancy Services Ltd, and various positions at HTSPE and Merlin. Caroline's academic background includes an MSc in International Development from the University of Bath and a BSc in Zoology from The University of Sheffield.
