Karim Malek is a quadruple board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with over 30 years of experience both in the clinic and in research and development. Previously, he served as a Senior Medical Director at the Oncology Therapeutic Area Unit at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where he was the Global Clinical Lead on multiple immune-oncology platforms. He also served a Senior Medical Director at ImmunoGen where he led the execution of clinical trials across early and late phases of development. Before joining industry, Dr. Malek was the Chief of Hematology-Oncology at the Good Samaritan Medical Center for nearly 10 years where he pioneering the participation of the community hospital in robust clinical research. Karim has authored over 30 scientific publications and book chapters and has held various academic and teaching positions. Dr. Malek trained at University of Alexandria, Faculté de Médecine Pierre-et-Marie-Curie, Faculté de Médecine Paris-Bobigny and Boston University School of Medicine.
