Álvaro Ferrero Veintemilla currently serves as the Engineering Technical Manager at iGEM, responsible for the technical development and coordination of the engineering and characterization area, with a focus on research and development in plastic biodegradation and biosynthesis. Additionally, Álvaro is involved in the New Undergraduate Students Mentoring Program at Facultad de Ciencias Físicas, UCM, where guidance and support are provided to incoming students navigating their transition to undergraduate studies. Álvaro is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, with an expected graduation date of May 2025, and has completed an interdisciplinary formation program in Science, Anti-Science, and Critical Thinking at the same institution.
