Cia Salinas has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Cia began their career as a Field Organizer for Obama for America in 2012, followed by an Administrative Support role at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Seasonal Associate - Data and Analytics for 270 Strategies, and also held two roles at the California Charter Schools Association, as Sr. Manager of Political Engagement Data and Manager of Data and Operations. In 2016, they worked as an Analytics Developer at Deck Apps, followed by a Software Engineer role at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in 2017. Most recently, they have held a Machine Learning Engineer role at Deck since 2019, and is currently a Data Engineer at IFTTT.

Cia Salinas attended The University of New Mexico from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics with a Second Major in Spanish.
