Steve Capenos, M.A., SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steve is currently the Director Health Plan Careers / Human Resources at IEHP, where they collaborate with a talented team to heal and inspire the human spirit. Prior to their current role, Steve served as the Director / Learning and Development at IEHP.

Before joining IEHP, Steve worked at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare as the Director / Human Resources and the Talent Strategist / Human Resources & Nursing Operations. Steve also held various positions at Kettering Health Network, including Network Recruitment Managing Supervisor / Human Resources and Network Recruiter / Human Resources, where they successfully developed and executed recruitment strategies and managed a team of recruitment personnel.

Steve's work experience also includes roles as the Human Resources Manager at the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton and a Financial Advisor at JPMorgan Chase. Earlier in their career, they worked at Sinclair Community College as an Assessment Intake professional.

With their extensive background in human resources, recruitment, and talent management, Steve Capenos brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role at IEHP.

Steve Capenos, M.A., SHRM-CP, has a Master's Degree in Human Services, Counseling from Liberty University (completed in 2016). Steve also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership/Business Development from Wright State University (completed in 2007). Additionally, Steve earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Organizational Behavior Studies from Sinclair Community College in 2002. Steve completed their high school education at Damien Memorial High School in Honolulu, HI, in 2000. Steve obtained the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in December 2019. Steve also earned the Recruiter Academy Certified Recruiter (RACR) certification from Lean Human Capital in 2016.
