Jussi Rantanen is a highly experienced healthcare professional currently serving as a Senior Advisor, Chief of Sports Medicine, Chief Surgeon, and Director of Business Development at Mehiläinen since June 2017. In addition, Jussi holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Idea Group since April 2023 and has been the Chairman and Senior Consultant at Strand Med since January 2009. Previous experience includes roles as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery in Dubai, as well as developing surgical processes at UPANDRUNNING Integrated Sports Medical Center. Jussi co-founded Hospital NEO in Turku, Finland, where significant growth was achieved under leadership as the Chief Medical Officer. Jussi’s educational background includes an eMBA from Turku School of Economics, a Visiting Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine, and an MD and PhD from the University of Turku, where Jussi is also an Adjunct Professor.
