Elena Benedetti is an experienced professional in the fields of innovation and technology transfer, currently serving as Head of Fundraising, Technology Transfer & Innovation at ICGEB since October 2022. Prior to this role, Elena held the position of Chief Innovation Officer at FORFIRM CIRCULAR ECONOMY from August 2021 to September 2022. Earlier experience includes serving as Director and Product Application Specialist at AEP Polymers, Technical Director at Composite Technical Services, and Business Unit Manager at Cimteclab Srl, where expertise focused on high-performance bio-based materials, nanostructured surface modifiers, and consulting services. Elena began a career in research as a Research Technician and Researcher at the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from June 1999 to March 2004. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Innovation, Enterprise, and Circular Economy from the University of Bradford School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology from Università degli Studi di Trieste.
