Utz-Jens Beister has a comprehensive work experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on business development, product management, and powertrain engineering. Utz-Jens started their career at IAV as an engineer and project manager for transmission systems. Utz-Jens then progressed to become the Department Manager for Transmission Systems and Alternative Drives, where they established the department in North America. After that, they served as the Director of Powertrain Engineering, where they contributed to extending IAV's service portfolio and restructuring its North American operation. Utz-Jens later became the President and CEO of IAV Automotive Engineering, Inc., successfully increasing the company's presence in North America and establishing the Technical Center NA. Utz-Jens also worked as the Director of Business Development USMCA and Partnering and the Director of Product Management, demonstrating their expertise in these areas. Currently, they are the Managing Director of IAV Cars GmbH.

Utz-Jens Beister holds a degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering from the Technische Universität Berlin. Utz-Jens also obtained a certification in Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in 2013.
