Marjolein (Maja) Van Paridon has a wealth of experience in the corporate world. Marjolein (Maja) began their career in 2006 as a Global Program Manager, Operations Integration at International SOS. Marjolein (Maja) then moved on to become a Project Manager, Strategic Projects and Business Analyst, both reporting to ExCo. In 2013, they joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Summer Intern and then moved on to become a Strategy & Operations Consultant for fast growth companies. In 2015, they joined Rio Tinto as a Strategic Initiatives Specialist - Group Technology & Innovation, where they were responsible for the org restructure of the technology division. In 2020, they joined Hubpay as COO, Country Head - UAE (Interim) and VP Operations. In their role at Hubpay, they were passionate about bringing intelligent financial products to people, regardless of income level.
Maja Van Paridon began their education in 2001 when they enrolled at Boston College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Visual Communication with double minors in Health Sciences and Justice Studies in 2005. Marjolein (Maja) then earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam in 2006. In 2011, they completed a Short Course in Complex Emergencies and Humanitarian Crises at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In 2012, they earned an MBA from the London Business School with a focus on Private Equity/Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship. In 2013, they were awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG).
