Ilise Benun is a seasoned marketing professional and educator with extensive experience spanning several decades. Since 1988, Ilise has served as The Brains Behind Marketing Mentor, providing strategic insights to creative professionals. For HOW Design Live, Ilise has been a Programming Partner since 2008, responsible for speaker selection and hosting the Creative Freelancer Summit. Past roles include Business Manager, Advisor, and Agent for direct response copywriter Bob Bly from 1990 to 2022, and part-time faculty at The Maryland Institute College of Art and visiting faculty at Pratt Institute, teaching courses in marketing and client communication. Ilise has also contributed as a marketing consultant for various firms, including Cleveland Design and Bending Design, helping clients identify target markets and develop effective marketing strategies. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish and French from Tufts University, completed in 1984.
