Dave Rooney serves as the Chief Analytics Officer at Hostelworld Group, overseeing the Analytics and Insights function with a focus on Marketing, Product, Commercial, and Supply Analytics since October 2023. Previously, Dave held various analytics leadership roles at Ancestry from September 2012 to April 2023, culminating as Senior Director of Analytics, where responsibilities included developing the company's Data Strategy and providing analytical support to regional leads. Additional positions at Ancestry included Director of Analytics, Senior Manager of Analytics, and International Analytics Manager, where notable achievements included establishing a Data Science function and spearheading conversion optimization strategies. Dave's earlier experience encompasses being a Business Web Analyst at CarTrawler and a Web Analyst at AIB. A co-founder of Justroutes.com, Dave received recognition for innovative web applications and has solid educational credentials, including a Postgraduate Certificate in Statistics from Trinity College Dublin and a B.A. in International Relations from Dublin City University.
