Martin Rygaard is a Senior Specialist and Strategic Planner at HOFOR since October 2022. Prior to this, Martin was the Head of MSc Studies in Environmental Engineering and an Associate Professor at DTU Environment from August 2014 to October 2022. Martin also served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley in August 2017. With a background as an Assistant Professor and PhD Fellow at the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark from 2006 to July 2014, Martin specialized in systems analysis of water supplies augmented with desalinated water. Additionally, Martin has experience as a Guest Researcher at CSIRO and as an Assistant Teacher at the Institute of Environment & Resources, DTU, where Martin taught Surface Water Hydrology. Martin holds a PhD in Water supply and drinking water quality and an Msc.eng. in Environmental engineering from DTU.
