Gregory Dewan has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. Gregory is currently serving as the Executive Director, President & CEO at Hiscock Legal Aid Society since February 2022. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Deputy Executive Director, Managing Attorney for Civil Programs, Supervising Attorney, Senior Attorney, and Staff Attorney at the same organization. In these roles, they oversaw various practice areas, developed training programs, supervised legal teams, and handled a large caseload representing low-income clients.

Before joining Hiscock Legal Aid Society, Gregory worked as a Student Attorney at the Barton Juvenile Defender Clinic, providing comprehensive legal services to clients involved in delinquency cases. Gregory also served as a Legal Intern at the Barton Child Law and Policy Clinic, where they conducted research and drafted documents related to the Georgia Juvenile Code revision project.

Gregory gained further legal experience as a Legal Intern in the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation's One Child, One Lawyer Program, advocating for abused and neglected children. Gregory also worked as a Summer Associate at The Law Office of Jeffrey J. Downey, assisting with litigation matters.

In addition, Gregory interned at the District Office of New York State Senator David J. Valesky, where they conducted research, wrote constituent letters, and participated in meetings with constituents and community leaders.

Gregory Dewan completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science at the University of Richmond from 2004 to 2007. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2010, they pursued their Juris Doctor degree at Emory University School of Law.
