Melanie Raymer Walters has extensive experience in the mortgage and finance sectors, currently serving as the Assistant Mortgage Closing Manager and Mortgage Loan Closing Lead at Hills Bank and Trust Company since June 2014. In this role, Melanie coordinates and prepares mortgage closing transactions while delivering superior customer service to borrowers and professionals involved in the process. Previous positions include Real Estate Disbursement Specialist, where critical responsibilities included funding loans, reviewing closing documents for accuracy, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. Prior experience includes guiding students at the University of Northern Iowa through finance and real estate courses as an Athletic Tutor and enhancing customer service skills as a Bakery Clerk at Hy-Vee. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Financial Services and Real Estate from the University of Northern Iowa, earned between 2009 and 2014.
