Andy Scheurer

Chief People Officer at Hi-Way Paving, Inc.

Andy Scheurer has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Andy started their career as a middle school instrumental music teacher at Worthington City Schools from 2007 to 2011. Andy then worked as a Training Specialist at Intulogy, where they focused on instructional design and e-learning development for retail sales and operations as well as hospitality management. From 2012 to 2013, Andy worked as an HRITS Graduate Administrative Associate at The Ohio State University, where they assisted HRIS Analysts in analyzing "people data" and working with Oracle/PeopleSoft, SQL, SAS, and other programs.

In 2013, Andy joined Ford Motor Company, initially as an HR Associate in labor relations, where they handled hourly personnel administration, grievance administration, and generalist tasks for the salaried workforce. Andy then became an HR Associate/Business Partner for Ford's global finance skill team, supporting various organizations and collaborating with directors, managers, and supervisors on talent management and people cycle plan processes. Later, from 2017 to 2018, they served as an HR Business Partner for Ford Smart Mobility, LLC, including Greenfield Labs, City Solutions, and Mobility Marketing and Growth, and also served as an interim People Operations lead for TransLoc, Inc.

In 2018, Andy worked as a Consultant at Thought Leadership Leverage, engaging with Thought Leader clients and internal teams to provide learning-product design expertise and supporting diagnostic survey/report design and implementation. Andy also led the development of a package for a client to sell to organizations for full-platform implementation. In 2019, they started their own independent HR and People Operations consulting practice, Scheurer Consulting, where they partnered with start-ups and small to mid-sized organizations on HR and talent strategies.

Currently, Andy is working at Hi-Way Paving, Inc. as the Head of People and Talent. In March 2023, they will transition to the role of Chief People Officer.

Andy Scheurer completed their Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Michigan State University from 2000 to 2004. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM/MLHR) degree with a focus in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
