Michael Liu has three years of work experience. Michael began their career in 2015 as a GLDP Management Trainee at BMW Group. In 2017, they moved to BMW Brilliance Automotive as a Technical Planner. Since 2018, they have been with Hesai Technology, where they have held two roles: Senior Program Manager and Senior Manager of Business Development.

Michael Liu began their educational journey in 2004 when they attended Tianjin University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Technology and Apparatus. In 2008, they continued their studies at The University of Sheffield, where they obtained a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering. Lastly, from 2009 to 2014, Michael Liu attended The University of Sheffield again, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering.
