Daniel Rooth

Sr. Technical Business Developer at Westermo

Daniel Rooth has had a diverse range of work experiences in the technology and energy industries. Daniel first worked as a Masters thesis student at OnTime Networks A/S in 2005. Following that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Westermo OnTime A/S from 2005 to 2007, and then at Westermo Research And Development AB as a Software Engineer from 2007 to 2008.

In 2008, Daniel transitioned to a Product Manager role at Westermo Teleindustri AB, where they were responsible for the remote access portfolio, including modems, routers, and services. Daniel played a key role in transforming the portfolio from dialup to internet/wireless-based communication, resulting in a significant financial increase for the segment. Daniel also contributed to the development and launch of the IIoT solution WeConnect.

After their time at Westermo Teleindustri AB, Daniel joined NorthStar Group in 2016 as a Product Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the award-winning wireless battery management solution NorthStar ACE®. Daniel led various activities related to the product area, such as establishing strategies, budgets, roadmaps, and project assignments. Daniel also ensured strategy alignment through board and executive management.

In 2021, Daniel joined EnerSys as a Global Product Manager for Wireless Battery Monitoring. Here, they played a part in redefining technology and meeting the changing needs of a global market.

Most recently, Daniel returned to Westermo Network Technologies in 2023 as a Sr. Technical Business Developer. In this role, they work at the intersection of sales and technology, assisting customers with their communication networks. Daniel is excited to be back at Westermo and contribute to the company's growth.

Daniel Rooth attended Wenströmska Gymnasiet from 1995 to 1999. Daniel then enrolled at Mälardalen University from 1999 to 2005, although the specific degree or field of study is unknown. Additionally, in the year 2002 to 2003, they studied Computer Science at North East Scotland College.
