Kai Cong is an experienced technology leader currently serving as VP of Product Engineering at Hertz since January 2023. Previously, Kai held the position of Director of Engineering at Lime from December 2019 to December 2022, overseeing a team of approximately 60 engineers across multiple countries, driving the development of software and hardware products in the IoT and fleet management domain. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Manager at Aibee Inc., Research Scientist at Intel Labs, and Software Engineer at Virtual Device Technologies LLC. Kai holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Portland State University and advanced degrees from Beihang University and Beijing Jiaotong University.
