Xinyu Wei has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry and polymer research. They worked at Henkel as a Scientific Principal, previously holding roles as a Lead Development Chemist and a Senior Development Chemist. Prior to Henkel, Xinyu worked at Cytec as a Chemist. Xinyu also has research experience at UMass Lowell as a Postdoctoral Associate, where they collaborated with a medical device manufacturer on the development of thermoplastic polyurethanes. Xinyu started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, working on the synthesis and manipulation of block copolymers. They also served as a Teaching Assistant during their time at the university. Xinyu's research experience began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Peking University, where they focused on studying the assembly behavior of amphiphilic diblock copolymers.
Xinyu Wei completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Chemistry from Peking University from 2002 to 2006. Later, Xinyu Wei pursued a Master of Science degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2006 to 2007. Finally, Xinyu Wei completed a PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2007 to 2011.
