Eric Silverberg began their work experience as a Scientist at Lord Corporation in 1995, where they focused on product development for rubber to metal bonding. In 1998, they joined the Adhesives division of National Starch and Chemical Co. and became part of Henkel Corporation in April 2008. At Henkel, they held various roles including Senior Scientist, Senior Principal Scientist, and Senior Principal Scientist, Principal. Eric'swork at Henkel continued until at least 2016.

Eric Silverberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Northeastern University from 1984 to 1989. Eric then pursued their Ph.D. in Chemistry at Penn State University from 1989 until 1994.
