Mike Hernandez has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Their most recent role was as a Program Manager at Helicon Chemical Company, a position they started in April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Eduworks Corporation from August 2021 to April 2023, holding the positions of Director of Business Development and Program Manager, where they were responsible for coordinating and supporting various activities related to Eduworks solutions. Mike also served as the Facility Security Officer from January 2022.

Before joining Eduworks Corporation, Mike worked at The ADL Initiative as an Operations Principal from December 2020 to August 2021. In this role, they led a team supporting the full range of activities and provided strategic planning for current and future projects. Mike was employed as a SETA Contractor by Akima LLC/Lockwood Hills LLC.

From June to December 2020, Mike worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Design Interactive, Inc., where they were involved in leading learning technology and knowledge management projects.

Prior to that, they worked at the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative from November 2017 to June 2020 as a Project Manager and Systems Engineer. In this role, they managed multiple projects and served as the Technical Point of Contact and PJM. Mike was also employed as a SETA Contractor by Akima LLC/Lockwood Hills LLC.

Mike's earlier experience includes working at Naval Air Systems Command as a Systems Engineer from August 2012 to November 2017. Their responsibilities included creating training capabilities for the US Navy and extensive development of intelligent tutoring systems.

Mike also worked at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) as an Electronics Engineer from August 2010 to August 2012, focusing on network design and installation. Prior to that, they worked briefly as an Electrical Engineer at BlackBerry from January to June 2010.

Mike's career began in the US Army, where they served as a Specialist from August 2001 to February 2005.

Mike Hernandez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Mike also received a Certificate in Systems Engineering Level 2 from Defense Acquisition University and a Certificate in Program Management Level 1 from the same institution. Additionally, they obtained certifications in various fields, including the "Complete Guide to Becoming a Software Architect" from Udemy in December 2020, "xAPI Fundamentals" from Udemy in October 2020, "Academic and Business Writing, BerkeleyX" from edX in October 2019, and "DON-supported Extramural Performers" from CITI Program, a Division of BRANY, in November 2020.
