Andy Lim has a diverse work experience in the field of emergency medicine. Andy started their career as a Hospital Medical Officer at The Royal Melbourne Hospital & NorthWestern Mental Health in 2009 and worked there until 2012. Andy then joined Monash Health in 2012 as a Registrar and later became a Consultant Emergency Physician in 2017. In 2016, Andy became a Fellow at the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. Andy has also worked at Healthscope as a Visiting Medical Officer and currently holds the position of Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine. Andy is also affiliated with Monash University as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer since 2022, where they are part of the Monash Emergency Research Collaborative.
Andy Lim has a diverse education history. In 2003-2008, they attended the University of Melbourne and earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) and a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci). Andy later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Deakin University from 2018-2020. In 2019-2020, Andy attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors and obtained a Graduate degree in Corporate Governance. Andy also holds various certifications, including Certified Health Manager from the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) in December 2020 and Associate Fellow from the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) in 2020. Additionally, they obtained an Executive Leadership certification from LinkedIn in 2020 and an Associate Fellow certification from the Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia and New Zealand in 2018.
