Katy Henriksen has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Katy started their career in 2011 at KUAF 91.3 Public Radio, where they held multiple roles including Music Director, Of Note Host/Producer, Social Media Manager, and Social Media Internship Coordinator. Katy also worked as a Contributing Writer at Bandcamp from 2016 to 2017 and as a Music Editor at The Rumpus from 2011 to 2013.
In 2016, Katy became the Founding Artistic Director of the Trillium Salon Series, where they played a key role in organizing and directing artistic events. Katy then worked as a Publicity Director at New Amsterdam Records from 2019 to 2020, gaining experience in the music industry.
Starting in 2019, Katy took on the role of Podcast Producer, Host & Editor for the show "Sound Off with Katy Henriksen" at Critical Frequency, where they showcased their skills in podcast production and editing. Katy also worked as a Podcast Producer, Reporter, and Graphic Designer at Remedy Health Media starting in 2020.
Most recently, Katy worked as a Copywriter at Blue Zoo Creative from November 2020 to March 2021. Currently, they serve as a National Publicist at Riot Act Media, where they utilize their expertise in public relations. Throughout their career, Katy has demonstrated their versatility in various roles within the media, music, and creative industries.
Katy Henriksen earned their Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas from 1996 to 2000. Katy then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts - MA degree in Journalism from the same university from 2001 to 2003.
