Nic Peet currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Hawke's Bay Regional Council, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Nic was the Group Manager for Strategy, Regulation, and Science at Horizons Regional Council from October 2012 to June 2023. With a decade of experience at the Department of Conservation, Nic held roles as Area Manager and Technical Support Specialist between 2002 and 2012. Nic holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, both obtained from the University of East Anglia, along with A level qualifications from Elizabeth College in Guernsey.
