Mark Heaney is an accomplished procurement and program management professional with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Procurement Manager at Hawke's Bay Regional Council since June 2011, Mark leads a procurement team to optimize a $113 million annual spend while ensuring adherence to national best practice standards. Previously, Mark held roles such as Programme Manager, where responsibility included developing systems for a $43 million Sustainable Homes initiative, and Manager of Client Services, focusing on administrative service improvements. Mark's earlier experience includes serving as Director at Creative Arts Napier, Treasurer and Board Member at Bay Health Credit Union, and roles in underwriting and project management at AMI and Hawkes Bay District Health Board, respectively. Educational qualifications include a D.Pod.M. and a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from the University of Westminster.
