April Lum, MSW, currently serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the Hawaii State Department of Education, focusing on education for homeless children and youth since March 2022. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at Family Programs Hawaii, where April held several leadership roles, including Director of Programs, Program Manager, and Family Resource Specialist, contributing significantly to the care and services for children and families in the child welfare system from 2014 to 2022. Additional roles include Executive Assistant & Office Manager at Grace Bible Church Pearlside and various administrative positions at Family Programs Hawaii. April holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the same institution.
