Simone Quist Mathiesen has worked in various roles in the marketing and innovation space since 2012. In 2012, they began their career as a Marketing Innovation Assistant at Carlsberg Group, where they were responsible for coordinating innovation initiatives from the idea-generation process up until the branding and launch of the product. In 2013, they moved to EGN Danmark as a Researcher & Social Media Assistant, where they were responsible for lead generation management and managing the company's Facebook page, resulting in a 500% increase in followers. In 2017, they joined Evaneos as a Marketing Manager for Traffic Acquisition & Website Development, where they strategized and implemented marketing initiatives for the Danish market. Finally, in 2019, they became the Regional Manager for Northern Europe at happn, where they are responsible for growing the Dutch, Flemish, Norwegian, and Danish markets. Simone also leads the efforts to define the brand identity, communication, and tone for the region, as well as managing a team of 3 marketing freelancers.

Simone Quist Mathiesen has a diverse educational background. From 2006 to 2009, they attended Allerød Gymnasium, where they obtained a General Upper Secondary Education - STX in Samfundsfag, Engelsk & Naturvidenskab. In 2007, they attended California State University, Long Beach for a summer school in English Language and Literature, General. From 2010 to 2012, they attended Niels Brock and obtained an AP graduate in Marketing Management. From 2012 to 2014, they attended Copenhagen Business Academy and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Sales & Marketing Management. Finally, from 2016 to 2018, they attended ESCE International Business School and obtained a Master's Degree in International Marketing & Product Management. In 2018, they also obtained a Google Ads Search Certification from Google Ads.
