Rachel De Luna has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering and research. Rachel worked as a Civil Engineer in Training at Halff Associates, where they gained experience in site development, stormwater pre-engineering studies, and roadway construction. Rachel also worked on water and wastewater pipeline design and franchise utility design and coordination. Prior to that, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, where they assisted with fluid dynamics labs and provided experimental assistance to students. Rachel also worked as a Summer Intern at LNV, Inc., where they contributed to projects related to wastewater line rehabilitation and ammonia removal facilities. Rachel also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Texas A&M University, where they provided GIS data support for assessing flooding repair costs and researched methods to reduce CO2 emissions for a hurricane simulation game. Additionally, they gained experience as a Summer Intern at LNV, Inc., where they worked on projects related to stormwater drainage improvements and water storage tank inspection data organization. Rachel also worked as a Data Reduction Researcher at Texas A&M University.

Rachel De Luna completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. Rachel attended Texas A&M from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Civil Engineering from Cornell University, where they studied from 2012 to 2013.
