Lydia Da Cruz has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Lydia started their career as an Internship as Media Planner and Advertising Coordinator at HATCHERS UNITED the media & communication gmbh in 2007. Lydia then went on to work as an Internship as Public Relations Account Executive at Public Affairs PR Agency GmbH and as an Internship as Editorial Department Assistant at RTL Television. In 2008, they served as a Student Assistant to the CEO at Lamelec PTY LTD. Lydia then worked at RWE as a Trainee in the Market Research Department, where they analyzed customer data and prepared reports. Lydia continued their career at Ketchum as an Account Coordinator in Brand and Digital Public Relations, handling various PR tasks and activities. Lydia then joined Emanate PR as a Quality Scout and Associate in Brand and Digital Public Relations, playing a key role in planning and executing international projects. In 2011, Lydia became the Marketing Communications Lead at XMG Studio, where they developed and implemented communication strategies. Most recently, they have been working at Hackworks, holding roles such as Director, Event Strategy & Development and Director, Innovation Strategy & Program Development. At Hackworks, Lydia has been instrumental in designing hackathons and innovation programs for large companies, as well as leading marketing and brand development efforts. With extensive experience in PR, marketing communications, and program development, Lydia has proven herself to be a valuable asset in driving innovation and creating meaningful connections between organizations and their audiences.
Lydia Da Cruz completed their Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Management from the Business Information and Technology School, graduating in 2007. During their undergraduate years, they focused on various subjects such as Public Relations, Print & Journalism, TV & Radio, and Event management. In 2006, Lydia spent a semester abroad at Hawaii Pacific University where they studied subjects like Public Relations, Business Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Public Speaking. In 2008, they pursued a Master of Arts in Communication & Business with a double major in Corporate Communication and Marketing at Bond University.
