Alicia VandeVusse is a Senior Research Scientist at the Guttmacher Institute since October 2018, with prior experience as a Research Specialist 3 at Ci3 at The University of Chicago and various roles at The University of Chicago, including Preceptor for the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences and Robert Park Lecturer. Alicia has a strong academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago, where also an M.A. in Sociology was earned. Additionally, Alicia held research and teaching positions at institutions such as Alverno College, Freie Universität Berlin, and Humboldt University Berlin, contributing to research studies and courses focused on social issues, particularly in the realm of reproduction and public policy.
