Prior to this, Shannon worked as an Associate Producer at CNN, where they worked on various international and domestic shows. Shannon also has experience as a Freelance Producer at June5Pearl Productions and as an Associate Producer at HLN. Additionally, Shannon has held leadership roles at Toastmasters International. They hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema Television Arts from California State University, Northridge, and a Master's degree from the University of Phoenix.
