Gregory FCA, an integrated PR firm, is looking for a Staff Writer to work closely with the Editorial team and PR teams across the firm. The right candidate has a strong portfolio of content and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Candidates need to be in commutable distance to our Philadelphia, Boston or New York offices.Â
Responsibilities:
Create compelling content for news releases, blog posts, bylined articles and more while working in a team environment.
Fact-check and proofread documents for accuracy, consistency, grammar, punctuation, spelling and AP style.
Adhere to and prioritize all deadlines.
Draft questions for and interview subject-matter experts for various written content.
Participate in client calls and briefings.
Upload, format, optimize and publish blog posts as needed.
Create social media copy and social buttons as needed.
Manage visual content for client blogs (e.g., uploading photos, interfacing with internal graphic design resources) as necessary.
Acquaint yourself with issues, processes, terms, products and regulations specific to client industries by reading and subscribing to appropriate media, blogs, social feeds, etc.
Monitor media throughout the day, and stay up to date on client-relevant news.
Attend and participate in company and team training events.
Support marketing and business development projects, as needed.
All other tasks as assigned.
Education:
Experience/Skills:
Command of the English language, including the ability to proofread for grammar, style and consistency; superior communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of AP style is a plus
Team player
Detail-oriented
Organized
Self-motivated and driven
Ability to multitask and hit deadlines
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and operational and productivity tools
