Melody Hammer began their work experience in 1997 as a Human Resources Manager at Grede Holdings LLC. Melody held this position for an undisclosed period of time. In 2017, they joined AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing as a Human Resources Manager and worked until December 2019.

Melody Hammer completed their Associates of Science degree in Human Resources Management and Services at Ashworth College in 2005. Melody then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General at Colorado Technical University from 2005 to 2007. In 2015, Melody obtained a certification in the 30 Hour Occupational Safety and Health Training Course from OSHA-Safety-Training.com.
