Rita Shaknovich has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Rita began their career as an Assistant Professor at Montefiore Medical Center in 2004, where they worked until 2008. Following this, they joined Weill Cornell Medicine as an Assistant Professor from 2008 to 2015. During this time, they also served as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President at Cancer Genetics, Inc. (now Vyant Bio) from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined GRAIL, Inc. as the Director of Molecular Pathology until 2019 when they became the Head of Clinical Laboratories. Most recently, they have held the position of VP of Medical Affairs at GRAIL, Inc. since November 2021.
Rita Shaknovich's education history includes studying Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies at Columbia University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Rita then pursued further education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, earning an MD/PhD degree specializing in Molecular Biology.
