Akshay Datar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and project management within the energy efficiency and renewable sectors. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Advancing Net Zero Volunteering Team and as the Strategy & PMO Manager at the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department since December 2017, Akshay has played a key role in driving the Energy, Renewables, and Utilities focus area of Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030, achieving over $20 million in energy and water savings in the first three years. Previous roles include Senior Strategic Planning Specialist at Sia Partners, where Akshay contributed to electricity market development and operations, as well as positions in venture capital and operations planning. Akshay holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from HEC Paris and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
