Dylan Garon has extensive experience at the Smithsonian Institution, serving in various leadership roles since June 2007, including Deputy Director of Physical Security & Business Operations. Responsibilities encompass overseeing security business operations, operational budgets, human resources, and training within the Office of Protection Services. Prior positions include Associate Director of Security Operations, where oversight of security staffing and response plans was essential, and Supervisor of Human Resources, Policy, and Strategic Communication, focusing on recruitment and strategic workforce planning. Dylan also played a role in the Office of Planning and Project Management and served as Visitor Services Lead Coordinator at the National Air and Space Museum. Educational achievements include a BA in History from Marymount University, with earlier schooling from Newfound Regional High School and New Hampton Community School.
