Carmen A. Zanfirescu is an experienced trade professional currently serving as Trade Attachée for Transportation and Venture Capital at the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec since April 2022. Previously, Carmen held several positions at the Consulate General of Canada in San Francisco, including Trade Commissioner for Cleantech, Agtech, and Autotech, where responsibilities included supporting Canadian companies in market expansion and coordinating technology accelerator programs. Carmen also served as a Trade Commissioner for Health and Life Sciences and as a Commercial Program Coordinator in various sectors, promoting Canadian economic interests in Northern California. Earlier career experience includes roles at the Consulate General of Canada and Global Strategies Trading LLC, focusing on international trade and client relations. Carmen's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Babes-Bolyai University, participation in the Venture Capital Executive Program at the University of California, Berkeley, and studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
